Samantha here. I’m nervous. We’re due to launch our podcast Hey Parco! on Wednesday, the first of September. THIS coming Wednesday! Eeek!
We’ve put soooo much work into our current batch of episodes (and videos), and while I’m really proud of them…. I’m frustrated the sound isn’t better in the first few episodes. There were mic issues, computer issues and heat issues (flipping 100-plus degrees in Oregon, for instance!) and those issues aren’t undetectable, I’m afraid.
For instance, in Episodes 1 and 2, you will hear a fan blowing from time to time when Ann is talking — remember those temperatures in Oregon I mentioned? And I am going to sound a bit echo-y and far away — the mic and computer issues. Episode 3 is a bit better, and by Episode 4, things sound much better. We learned.
Over time, I hope to improve my skills as editor and sound engineer, and I welcome kind, constructive suggestions from those of you in the know. And more than anything, I ask for some patience. I promise you, there is content in these first bumpy episodes, and if you like a chuckle and a shared memory, you just might have some fun with us.
